Land for sale in Kyua
Area-level guidance from public records — not a survey of this parcel.
💼 Area economy
Kyua is a dry, smallholder mixed-farming area, not an industrial or high-output irrigated farm zone. Reported crops are maize, beans, cowpeas, cassava, sorghum, mangoes and pawpaw; rainfall is often inadequate for maize and beans. Households also keep indigenous cattle, goats, sheep and poultry. Kyua Market and Katangi Shopping Centre are local outlets; goods also come from Kitui. The county planned an open-air Kyua market and a market day, but the source does not name the weekday. Products include food crops, livestock, poultry, posho-mill services, basket weaving and wood carving.
Kyua Market is a documented local market, but a reliable published weekday was not found. The Machakos CIDP lists construction of an open-air market and scheduling of a Kyua market day as planned actions, so do not assume a regular trading day without checking locally. Katangi Shopping Centre is the established nearby trading centre cited as a source of non-agricultural goods; Kitui town is also a supply source. Katangi has weekly livestock trading, but this is not evidence of a formal livestock market at Kyua.
🚧 Development nearby
The county development plan lists routine maintenance on this Katangi Ward route as ongoing. It may improve local access, but it is maintenance rather than a promise of paving, drainage, power or water to an individual parcel.

This improves the Katangi/Kithimani corridor, but does not make every Kyua plot tarmac-fronted; inspect the actual last-mile road and wet-season passability.

This improves nearby health-service capacity, but it does not provide clinic access, ambulance coverage, water, electricity or other utilities to a Kyua parcel.
