Land for sale in Kilema
Area-level guidance from public records — not a survey of this parcel.
💼 Area economy
Kilema sits in a dry mixed-farming area; do not assume reliable rain-fed commercial crops. Relevant Kibwezi West crops include green grams, sorghum, millet, maize, beans, pigeon peas, cowpeas, cassava, mangoes and citrus. Cattle, goats, sheep and poultry are established livestock. Makindu is the practical trading centre and has a county grain value-addition plant; its ESP market was under construction. A current, reliable published market day for Makindu/Kilema was not found—confirm locally before relying on one.
Makindu is the nearest documented market centre. County plans placed a 200-trader ESP market there, but this is not proof of operating stalls, cold storage or dependable buyer volumes at Kilema. Makindu also has a county grain value-addition plant, supporting grains and pulses. The county’s older market page is not usable for current market-day decisions, and no reliable current market day for Makindu or Kilema was found. Ask locally which day livestock and produce buyers actually attend.
